WORK CONDITIONS
On board most oil rigs you typically work for 14 days at a time. Then you are rotated off the rig for 21 days, before  working  again. Basically, this means that you are on vacation for well over half the year! While the work is physically hard, the pay and benefits are very well worth it.

Many oil rig accommodation facilities meet hotel standards. In most cases, your expenses while you are on board the oil rig - such as board, food and laundry - are paid for by your employer. In most cases, the cost of traveling to and from the oil rig is also covered by your employer. Working aboard an oil or gas rig is hard work, But the pay is great

TRAVEL
The major oil and gas fields throughout the world are located in Brazil, Kuwait, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela. While domestic oil rig workers earn a very good salary, working aboard an oil rig in a foreign country is even more lucrative.  Many oil rig companies send their employees home on a regular basis - this ensures you are able to spend time with your family and friends back home.

SALARY
Your salary depends on the job you are hired for, amount of hours you work, the company that is hiring you, project and location, and other factors.
